Join the Candela DJs for Cardiff’s only genre encompassing dance floor focused night. Candela is ready to indulge your ears into the morning hours with the never-ending record boxes packed full to the very brim of sounds to make you salivate!
This month the resident Candela DJs Harmonics and DJ Nortare are joined by Koichi Sakai, a Tokyo-born, London-based DJ, musician, producer and promoter who is widely recognised for his highly developed, unique style which reflects the varied influences that have continuously informed his creativity and career.
His musical style is jazzy and percussive; playing a distinctive and smooth mix of Soul, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Latin and Afrobeat and while not DJ’ing out and about this busy busy fella can also be found on the radio with his Ghetto Lounge show, running his label and promoting his night of the same name and co-promoting the wonderful club night Afrobeat Vibration at the creative hub of Hackney’s New Empowering Church with Dele Sosimi.
