Brooke Sharkey for her debut solo performance in Cardiff this summer!
The London based singer songwriter Brooke Sharkey will be playing at Gwdihw with support acts from some of Cardiff finest up and coming female musicians!
Brooke has released 2 Eps and 2 full length albums ‘One Dress’ (2012) and ‘Wandering Heart’ (V2 records- 2016). Brooke was featured in the FUTURE 50 article in The Guardian in November 2016 about independent artists doing it their own way. She produces her music and collaborates with band members based in and around East London.

Her tracks ‘Your tomorrow’, ‘Faces’ and ‘Bottletop Blues’ have been played on BBC radio 2, Radio 6, BBC Scotland, Radio FIP and Radio 1 Belgium with live sessions on NPO Radio 1 and 2 in The Netherlands. She has also captured the attention of The guardian, Loud and quiet magazine, Acoustic magazine and Maverick magazine and has supported artists such as Thomas Dybdahl, Ben Watt and french artist Tété. Brooke’s last London show was The Union Chapel in Co- headline with Cameroonian Artist BLICK BASSY on 17th November 2017.
20 year old singer/songwriter and street musician, born and raised in Spain, the bohemian lifestyle and creative outlook her parents inspired shaped her as an artist and writer. She developed her technical musical abilities at school whilst gaining confidence in performing at barefoot beach bar parties and campo (countryside) camp outs. Since the completion of her schooling in the summer of 2016 she has been roaming different parts of the world learning and growing with each journey.
