Juju Nations
Juju Nations | Sat 4th Feb | 9pm | £3

Its always easy deciding where to spend a Saturday night when Juju is on the calendar. However this month the ‘Juju Saturday’ is gleaming on the office calendar with diamonds and balloons in celebration of their 1st birthday at Gwdihŵ! One year of their famed mix of afrobeat, funk and reggae music charting the development of funk and soul and its roots in Africa.
So, if you haven’t been to a Juju night or even heard of Juju then I sincerely hope you wake up from your coma soon and if your conscious…well you, my friend have been missing out!
To mark the occasion there is a particularly special guest performance from Baajo, one of Bristol’s finest Afrobeat bands!
Baajo combine the musical talents of Ghanaian master drummer Ben Baddoo, who started playing the drums when he was six years old, with a host of funky groovers on the Bristol music scene to give you a band guaranteed to rock the party.
In addition, the Juju DJ’s will be playing their funky and frantic flavours from Africa, the Caribbean and the USA.
We can promise sweat will flow, booty will shake, feet will move and smiles will be breaking out on everyone’s faces!
