Juju Nations charts the development of the Funk and Soul with its roots in Africa and explores the influence of American artists like James Brown on musicians such as Orlando Julius and Fela Kuti, in Africa, and Toots and the Maytals, in the Caribbean, in the 1960s and 1970s.
But in addition to our eclectic mix of Afrobeat, Funk and Reggae expect a few surprises when we bring the sound up-to-date with Hip-life, Afro-House and Soukous. So be prepared for night of funky and frantic flavours from the Africa, Caribbean and the USA.
Be prepared for a night of Funk and Reggae classics of 60s & 70s – be prepared for booty shaking Afrobeat – be prepared to dance.
