Are you ready to put some funk in your folk? Then step into a world of sea shanty’s, bluegrass beats and everything in between as we take you on a journey of discovery through the world of funky folk music in our 6th Friday ‘Folk Discothèque’ extravaganza!

That’s right this week delectable Péchés Mignons Discothèque bite will have you dancing on the tables and reaching for your hurdy… gurdy as we bring folk musician extraordinaries to tear it up at Gwdihw.

But who you ask will be weaving this enchanted night of fiddles and dreams?

39 INCH YARD are a Celtic inspired folk rock outfit with attitude who throw both the musical past and present of folk together in a melting pot of pure awesome. Some of the tunes they play might be 500 years old but the urge to dance is contemporary.

THEM LOVELY BOYS, are a brand spanking new band who are quickly securing their place as one of Wales’ must see musical showcases. Their myspace page will give you a taster of just what to expect but it’s live that you’ll fall for this band of talented troubadours. Possessing energy and enthusiasm in spades they span sea-shanty charm to warped bluegrass and all the odd bits in-between.
